This cast would make the movie extremely watchable. If they only gather weak or no-name actors, the movie fan base will be only warcraft fans, and everyone else won’t really be into it.
Legendary Pictures and Blizzard have already begun development of the Warcraft movie, although a script and cast are still being put together (supposedly this should be done by the next BlizzConn or even hints at the WWI , http://www.blizzard.com/wwi08/index.xml
So what should the plot of Warcraft movie be and who would you like to see in it? Furthermore, if the Warcraft movie does well (obviously it will make a ridiculous amount of money regardless of how good it is), the Starcraft movie will most likely come out in 2011. So same question for that?

From Blizzconn 2007 about Warcraft movie:
Thrall will be in the movie. It will be told primarily from the Alliance point of view The time of the movie is set about 1 year before World of Warcraft begins. The film is mainly about cultures in conflict. It won’t be an adventure movie like LoTR, more of a war film.
This is incredibly dumb. We don’t care about “cultures in conflict”, unless your next-door neighbor is an Orc Warchief who is a raciest against Night Elves. At heart, Warcraft has the war between races, but its core-functionality is the story of the Burning Legion trying to get to the Well of Eternity, between the War of the Ancients, the Guardians, Medhiev, the Orc wars, Ner’zul, then finally of Arthas, becoming corrupted, and journeying to be the new Lich King. It should follow Warcraft III very closely to be successful.
Warcraft Movie
Told from the perspective of the Humans. The movie basically highlights Warcraft III since that is roughly a year in length. Pre-intro of 10 mins of Warcraft history by talking about the Night Elves, the Burning Legion, the Sundering, the development of the humans, Sargeras infesting Medivh, Medivh opening the portal to the Orc’s, the Burning Legion’s plans. Then they should start it off with some conflicts between human and orc wars. The story should then follow pretty closely to the game, as if they deviate it will be a failure. It should fully follow Warraft III and hint at Warcraft Frozen Throne, just in case they want to make a movie of that too. I think one story is enough for a movie. They don’t need two. A third movie can be made to close up the open endedness of the storyline, which can be incorporated into the World of Warcraft present. A final stand against all warriors in Azeroth, Horde and Alliance, to destroy Arthas/New Lich King. Should end with Illidan saving the day, and perhaps, leave another open end for himself to rule the Burning Legion?
